Our favourite live show is one-man-band-slash-musical genius Dave Ferguson, also known as Lonesome Dave. Armed with a harmonica, his vocals (and human beatbox madness) as well as a pedal for looping sounds, he builds a mesmerising soundscape he describes as “Trans-Blues & Country Dub”. But really, this is breaking all the rules of genre – we advise a checking your preconceptions about harmonicas, beatboxing, and men with cowboy hats at the door...

Lonesome Dave is a regular feature on the Cape Town music and festival scene, and can be found at some our favourite places to drink a cocktail – Boo Radley’s, The Grand Daddy Hotel Trailerpark, Julep and more. But enough talk, and more music! Here’s a little teaser for you:
